মানুষের আয়ু ১২০ বছর

সমালোচকের দাবিঃ

পয়দায়েশ/ আদিপুস্তক ৬/৩: ‘‘তাতে মাবুদ বললেন, আমার রূহ মানুষের মধ্যে চিরকাল ধরে অবস্থান করবেন না, কেননা তারা মরণশীল; পক্ষান্তরে তাদের সময় এক শত বিশ বছর হবে।’’ (মো.-১৩)

‘মানুষের আয়ু ১২০ বৎসর হবে’- এ কথাটা ভুল। কারণ পূর্ববর্তী যুগের মানুষদের বয়স আরো অনেক দীর্ঘ ছিল। আদিপুস্তকের ৫ অধ্যায়ের ১-৩১ শ্লোকের বর্ণনা অনুসারে আদম ৯৩০ বছর জীবিত ছিলেন। অনুরূপভাবে শীস (শেথ)  ৯১২ বছর, ইনোশ  ৯০৫ বছর, কৈনন ৯১০ বছর, মহললেল  ৮৯৫ বছর, যেরদ ৯৬২, হানোক (ইদরীস) ৩৬৫ বছর, মথূশেলহ ৯৬৯ বছর, লেমক ৭৭৭ বছর পৃথিবীতে জীবিত ছিলেন। নোহ (নূহ) ৯৫০ বছর জীবিত ছিলেন। (আদিপুস্তক ৯/২৯)। এ ভাবে প্রমাণিত যে, মানুষের আয়ু ১২০ বছর বলে নির্ধারণ করা ভুল।

জবাবঃ আদিপুস্তক ৬ অধ্যায়ে নেফিলিম জাতির বিষয়ে বলা হয়েছে, তারা স্বর্গদূত ছিল কিন্তু তারা স্বর্গ ছেড়ে দিয়ে, ইয়াওয়ে এলোহীমের আনুগত্য করা বাদ দিয়ে  পৃথিবীতে মানুষের রূপ ধারন করে। মানুষের মেয়েদের তারা বিয়ে করে যার কারনে এক ধরনের দৈত্য জাতি সৃষ্টি হয় যারা সারা পৃথিবীর পাপে পরিপূর্ন করে।

“এইরূপে যখন ভূমণ্ডলে মনুষ্যদের সংখ্যা বৃদ্ধি পাইতে লাগিল ও অনেক কন্যা জন্মিল, তখন ঈশ্বরের পুত্রেরা মনুষ্যদের কন্যাগণকে সুন্দরী দেখিয়া যাহার যাহাকে ইচ্ছা, সে তাহাকে বিবাহ করিতে লাগিল। তাহাতে সদাপ্রভু কহিলেন, আমার আত্মা মনুষ্যদের মধ্যে নিত্য অধিষ্ঠান করিবেন না,তাহাদের বিপথগমনে তাহারা মাংসমাত্র; পরন্তু তাহাদের সময় একশত বিংশতি বৎসর হইবে। তৎকালে পৃথিবীতে মহাবীরগণ ছিল, এবং তৎপরেও ঈশ্বরের পুত্রেরা মনুষ্যদের কন্যাদের নিকটে গমন করিলে তাহাদের গর্ভে সন্তান জন্মিল, তাহারাই সেকালের প্রসিদ্ধ বীর।”-আদিপুস্তক৬:১-৪;

Bereshit - Genesis - Chapter 6:1-4;

And it came to pass when man commenced to multiply upon the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them. That the sons of the nobles saw the daughters of man when they were beautifying themselves, and they took for themselves wives from whomever they chose. And the Lord said, "Let My spirit not quarrel forever concerning man, because he is also flesh, and his days shall be a hundred and twenty years." The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of the nobles would come to the daughters of man, and they would bear for them; they are the mighty men, who were of old, the men of renown.[1]  

Context পড়লে দেখা যায় এখানে মোটেই সমগ্র মানব জাতির বয়সের বিষয়ে বলা হয় নি বরং নেফিলিম [נְפִילִים Nəfīlīm] জাতির বিষয়ে বলা হয়েছে। যাদের ইয়াওয়ে এলোহীম ১২০ বছরের সময় দিয়েছিলেন যাতে তারা মন পরিবর্তন করে আর যদি না করে তবে মহাপ্লাবনে তারা বিনষ্ট হবে এই উক্ত বিষয়ে বিখ্যাত ইহুদি তাফসীরকারী রাব্বী রাশি বলেছেন, והיו ימיו וגו THEREFORE HIS DAYS SHALL BE etc. — For 120 years I will be long-suffering with them, and if they repent not I shall bring a flood upon them. If, now, you object, saying that from the birth of Japheth until the Flood there were only 100 years, remember that there is no “earlier” or “later” in the Torah (events are not always related in chronological order) (Pesachim 6b): the decree (regarding the Flood) was issued twenty years before Noah had any children — so we find in Seder Olam. There are many Midrashic explanations of the words לא ידון but this is transparently its plain sense.[2]

 

যেহেতু সেই পতীত স্বর্গদূত নেফিলিম [נְפִילִים Nəfīlīm] জাতির লোকেরা মন ফিরাই নি, তার জন্য ১২০ বছর পরে তাদের উপরে ইয়াওয়ে এলোহীম মহাপ্লাবন পাঠিয়েছিলেন।

বিখ্যাত ইহুদি তাফসীরকারী ইবন-এজরা এই পদের ব্যাখ্যায় একি কথা লিখেছেন,

The correct meaning of therefore shall his days be a hundred and twenty years is as Onkelos explained, namely, that God set a time for mankind to repent. We see the same idea in Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown (Jonah 3:4). God gave them one hundred and twenty years in which to repent and save themselves, or to remain unrepentant and perish.[3]

নিধ্যারিত সময় অতিক্রম হওয়ার পরে ইয়াওয়ে এলোহীম তাদের শাস্তি দিয়েছেন এই বিষয়ে গসপেলেও উল্লেখিতঃ

কারণ ঈশ্বর পাপে পতিত দূতগণকে ক্ষমা করেন নাই, কিন্তু নরকে ফেলিয়া বিচারার্থে রক্ষিত হইবার জন্য অন্ধকারের কারাকূপে সমর্পণ করিলেন।-২ পিতর২:৪;

আর যে স্বর্গদূতেরা আপনাদের আধিপত্য রক্ষা না করিয়া নিজ বাসস্থান ত্যাগ করিয়াছিল, তাহাদিগকে তিনি মহাদিনের বিচারার্থে ঘোর অন্ধকারের অধীনে অনন্তকালীন শৃঙ্খলে বদ্ধ রাখিয়াছেন।-যিহূদা৬;

তাই এখানে মোটেই মানুষের ১২০ বছরের বিষয়ে বলা হয় নি বরং  পতীত স্বর্গদূত নেফিলিম [נְפִילִים Nəfīlīm] জাতির লোকেদের বিষয়ে বলা হয়েছে  যাদের মন ফেরানোর জন্য ১২০ বছর দেওয়া হয়েছিল।
